Stories of Early Forrest - a self-guided walk
A gentle stroll through the Griffin Plan avenues, circuits, circles and streets of Forrest. It tells the stories behind land use, naming conventions, landscape, streetscape, architecture and residents from the 1920s to the 1960s including detail of the construction workers’ camps, early clubs and statues, government and private housing of the 20s, modernist architecture of the 50s/60s and the Weston and Pryor street tree plantings.
